Meet Dr. Taylor Mason
Dr. Mason approaches his work as you likely approach yours—do excellent work and treat people the way you would want to be treated. You’ll see this intersection of competence and compassion throughout your experience with this exceptional orthodontist. From his methodical evaluation to the advanced technologies he’s selected for the office, to the thorough and kind way he explains what’s happening at each appointment, his approach is truly premium. Dr. Mason is committed to delivering orthodontic care that reflects both precision and empathy—because excellence means not only doing things right, but doing them in a way that makes people feel genuinely cared for.
Dr. Mason is the grateful husband to his gorgeous wife and the proud father of five kids. And although he wasn’t born in Northern Kentucky, he first moved here way back in 2004. His entire family lives in the area, and with 16 nieces and nephews—plus his own five children—Dr. Mason’s family has been growing almost as quickly as Union itself! Like any father of young kids, Dr. Mason has a long list of invigorating hobbies to keep him refreshed: cleaning up Legos, vacuuming crumbs from the kitchen floor, changing diapers, and driving kids to soccer are recurring favorites.
All joking aside, Dr. Mason is incredibly grateful for his family and the growing community he gets to raise them in. And when all the crumbs are cleaned and diapers changed, he enjoys spending time with his wife, staying involved with his church community, exercising, and hiking with his kids in the region’s beautiful parks. Life is full—in the best ways!
We’ll start with the boring (but important) stuff: After graduating summa cum laude from Northern Kentucky University, Dr. Mason began his four-year course of study at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry, where he finished in the top 10% of his class. He then embarked on four intensive years of service as a soldier in the U.S. Army, where he received advanced dental training and deployed to Afghanistan with the 10th Mountain Division as the only military dentist on base. There, he served NATO soldiers from around the world, including Bulgarian, Lithuanian, Romanian, and Australian service members. He even got to help keep the military dogs dentally fit!
Dr. Mason then transitioned back into civilian life by completing a two-year orthodontic residency at Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he was honored to serve as President of his class and Chief Resident, and to earn the Gene Dellinger Award of Excellence.
But that’s all pretty tedious, right? Let’s cut to the chase. What you really need to know is that Dr. Mason loves orthodontics. (He luuuuuves it!) Straight teeth, healthy bites—all that stuff is like candy to him (sugar-free, of course). So, you’re really doing him a favor by coming on down and letting him take a look at your smile. He can’t wait to show you how amazing it can be!
